Kamil Idris Stresses the Need to Leverage the Science and Knowledge of the National Research Center for the Country’s Development
Transitional Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has stressed the need to leverage the science and knowledge available at the National Research Center for the development of the country, reiterating the civilian government's interest in applied scientific research and studies and relying on them to build the state on sound foundations.This came during a meeting at his office in Port Sudan on Monday with Dr. Moataz Mohamed El-Dirdiri, Undersecretary of the National Research Center, who discussed all issues of concern to the center and its activities, stating that the Prime Minister's Office will follow up on the center's dossier and advance it.Dr. Moataz said, in press statements, that the meeting touched on the center's history, the stages it has gone through, the technologies it has produced, and the center's contribution to development programs. He added that the Prime Minister expressed great interest in science and research, given their positive impact on all aspects of public life. The Prime Minister received a plan to develop and rebuild the center following its systematic devastation by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, as well as the center's vision for how it can contribute to the success of the Government of Hope's programs, which will lead the country to development.
