Strengthening bilateral cooperation between CBoS and Arab Investment and Dhaman
The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBoS), Mohamed Osman Mohamed Khair, discussed with the Director General of the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman), Rashid Al-Haroun, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two institutions in several priority areas. These areas include supporting efforts to attract investment to Sudan, improving the business environment, and expanding the scope of guarantees granted to investors. This will contribute to raising confidence in the national economy and encouraging the flow of Arab capital and investments. This came during his official visit to the State of Kuwait to participate in the joint annual meetings of Arab financial institutions, which were held during April 9-10. The two sides also touched on possible mechanisms to activate cooperation between Dhaman and the Sudanese government in the domains of economic development, through guaranteeing investment projects and supporting exports, in addition to strengthening strategic partnerships that will contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
The two sides reviewed ongoing efforts across the Arab world to promote interinvestment and emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and technical information to maximize the use of available resources and create a more effective and attractive investment environment in member states. The meeting came within the context of a shared commitment to strengthening institutional relations between Sudan and specialized Arab institutions and activating regional cooperation tools to support the process of comprehensive and sustainable development in the Arab region.
