Interior Minister launches Ministry's E-Gateway to foster discipline and digital services
Portsudan, March 20, 2025 (SUNA) - Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. (Police) Khalil Pasha Sayrin, has launched the Ministry of Interior's E-Gateway.
The gateway aims to improve discipline and organize civil registry, passport, and immigration affairs. It will also facilitate investigations and criminal rulings, provides administrative oversight of customs and federal prison administration, and performs civil defense duties and protects citizens' safety.
The Interior Ministry emphasized, in a press conference Thursday at the Police Hall, the importance of the media's role in supporting the e-gateway to ensure its success by raising awareness of the services it provides.
The Ministry underscored the need for smart partnerships with the media to foster communication with the public.
The Minister of Interior stated that the ministry seeks to overcome the challenges associated with relying on the e-portal, such as poor internet access, securing the site against cyberattacks, and protecting user data. He added that the ministry has also been working to link the gateway with other government systems to achieve digital integration and improve the efficiency of services provided to citizens.
