Sudan's UN Envoy: War will not stop unless UAE halts RSF militia support
New York, March 14 (SUNA) – Sudan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Al-Harith Idris, said on Thursday that the war in Sudan will not stop unless the United Arab Emirates (UAE) halts its support for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He added, "The UAE is condemned, and it is shedding the blood of Sudanese and killing them with the aim of controlling Sudan's wealth and resources."
Sudan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations explained, during his speech before the Security Council on Thursday, that "the war will only discontinue when the UAE stops its support for the terrorist rebel militia." He added, "We have all the documents and have filed a 74-page complaint with the Security Council."
Ambassador Idris indicated that "the UAE is playing a malicious and destructive role, and if it does not halt supporting the RSF militia, the suffering will continue." Sudan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations called on the Security Council to designate the UAE as "the only actor interfering in the war."
Ambassador Idris told the Security Council: "Your Council should name the UAE instead of talking about the interference of external elements. The only external element intervening in this war is the UAE."
