Minawi thanks US government for supporting the RIGHT by imposing sanctions on rebel militia leaders
The Governor of Darfur Region Minni Arko Minawi has praised, in a tweet Wednesday on the (X) platform the US government's position in imposing sanctions on militia leaders, headed by Hemeidti, who committed genocide, ethnic cleansing, and besieged the city of El-Fashir with the aim of starving and killing innocent people, destroying hospitals, and deliberately striking displaced persons (IDPs) camps, including Zamzam and Abu Shouk camps.
Minawi continued his tweet, saying, "We appreciate this position of the US government in support of the weak and oppressed segments of the society". He concluded by saying, "Our great thanks to the US government for its support for the truth and refuting falsehood.
