Setit River Takes Away Tens of Dead Bodies of Ethiopians

Khartoum, Sep.8(SUNA)-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement about summon of the Ethiopian Ambassador to Sudan to inform him that the Sudanese authorities have found during the period from 26 July- 8 August 2021, 29 corpses the Setit River carried , east villages bordering Wad Al Hiliou Locality in Kassala State.The statement said the Foreign Ministry has informed the Ethiopian Ambassador that the dead bodies affiliated to Ethiopian community of Tigray and that they were identified by some Ethio-pian nationals resident at Wad Al Hiliu area and that the Ministry requested from the Ethiopian Ambassador to convey this information to his country. It is worth mentioning that Sudan is hosting large number of Ethiopian refugees whose numbers increased in the recent period and that the government of Sudan was keen to fulfill its commit-ments according to the international law and that the Government was in opinion that the their camps be far from the Ethiopian borders to guarantee their safety in addition to providing the necessary services to them
