Zadna: Silos Pilot Operation at Barakat begins on Thursday
Medan, Aug.16 (SUNA) - Zadna Company Director at Gezira State, Brig. Ismail Abdel-Latif has announced that a pilot operation for new silos project at Barakat area in Gezira State will begin next Thursday. The storage capacity of the new silos is amounted to 100,000 tons of cereals. Abdel-Latif said in statement to SUNA, following a meeting here today with Gezira State Wali, (governor) Dr. Abdullah Idris that the silos represented one of most key projects in the state for their contribution in maintaining strategic reserve of cereals. The Wali on his part affirmed that silos project is harmonized with the state plan that aims at maintaining cereal strategic reserve and reduces loss of agricultural crops in the state. AA
