Security and Defense Council Reviews Security Situation, Praises Military Gains

The Security and Defense Council held its regular meeting on Tuesday in Khartoum under the chairmanship of President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, with the participation of all members, where it reviewed the country’s security situation.
Speaking to the press, Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Hassan Daoud Kabroun said the council commended the Sudanese Armed Forces and allied forces across various battlefronts, congratulating them on the major victories in South Kordofan, Blue Nile State, and Darfur. He said the council emphasized the importance of adherence to the law, respect for national sovereignty, and human rights.
The council also stressed the need to provide essential services, particularly electricity and water, for citizens returning to the country. It further directed the relevant authorities to regulate the movement of armed individuals and military vehicles inside cities and markets.
The council also called for establishing controls governing security cells in localities and identifying collaborators with the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, with emphasis on investigations related to such individuals. The Security and Defense Council also paid tribute to those killed in the “Battle of Dignity,” wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded and safe return for prisoners and missing persons.
