Onboard “SudanAir” … Prime Minister Heads to Port Sudan

Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris departed on Sunday at noon aboard the national carrier, Sudanese Airlines “SudanAir,” en route to Port Sudan, the capital of Red Sea State. He was seen off at Khartoum International Airport by Minister of Cabinet Affairs Dr. Limya Abdel-Gaffar Khalafallah and a number of state officials.
Ahead of take-off, the Prime Minister expressed his delight at traveling on board Sudanese Airlines, noting that SudanAir is a prestigious and historic carrier, established in 1946 and that commenced operations in 1947. He highlighted that the airline was once among the world’s leading carriers, ranking second only to British Airways in terms of service quality.
The Prime Minister expressed optimism that the national carrier, SudanAir, will return stronger than ever and assured all Sudanese that the renowned Heathrow route is now under the management of Sudanese Airlines.
Professor Kamil Idris confirmed that the departure of the SudanAir flight represents the official inauguration of Khartoum International Airport, stressing that this great country will return to its former stature and be at the forefront of nations. He also extended his greetings to the citizens traveling on board the SudanAir flight. It is noteworthy that Khartoum International Airport received on Sunday noon the first domestic flight of Sudanese Airlines (SudanAir) arriving from Port Sudan.
