Kabbashi Briefed on Efforts of African Union and UN for Success of Sudanese Dialogue

Khartoum, Mar. 21 (SUNA) – The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Shams-Eddin Kabbashi, has affirmed the government full support for the efforts of the African Union and the United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS) to Support the transitional phase in Sudan and to ensure success of the national consensus process in the country, through a comprehensive dialogue that does not exclude anyone. During his meeting in his office at the Republican Palace on Monday, Gen. Kabbashi was briefed by the envoy of the African Union, Dr. Mohamed El-Hassan Ould Labat, about the efforts of the African Union and the United Nations to make the Sudanese dialogue a success, and the results of their meetings and communication with the political and societal forces in the country. It is to be noted that the UNITAMS mission and the African Union had established a joint coordination mechanism on the Sudanese dialogue process to unify their efforts and to work together on the ground, within the framework of international efforts to address the crisis in the country.
