EU donates 10 million euro to support Gum Arabic project

Obeid Aug 2 (SUNA) – The European Union has donated 10 million Euros in support of the Gum Arabic Re-structure Project through the French Agency for International Development. This came when the Wali (Governor) of North Kordofan State met, Monday, the EU delegation responsible for funding the project headed by the National Coordinator for the project, Dr. Faiza Mohammed Ahmed. The Wali lauded the great support extended by the EU for the Gum Arabic Re-structur Project, referring to the efforts beiong exerted by the Federal Government to rehabilitate the Gum Arabic belt in the state. Dr. Faiza said in a statement to (SUNA) that the delegation's visit to the state came to find out the activities carried out in the project's work areas, noting the arrangements and preparations that were made to implement the second phase.
