Khartoum, Aug. 2 (SUNA) - The flows of refugees from Tigray Region into the Sudanese territories have continued since the outbreak of fighting in Ethiopia between the National Army and the Tigray group at the end of last year, when more than 90 refugees arrived in the Basunda area of Gedarif up to now. According to an informed source, more than 94 refugees from Tigray in addition to other nationalities arrived in Basunda today (Monday) due to the situation inside their country, bringing the total number of refugees moved from the border from Taya area to the Basunda locality reception center to Basunda to 900 refugees. According to the statistics of the United Nations and organizations working with refugees, the total number of people transferred from the reception centers in eastern Sudan to the permanent camps in Um Rakuba and Al-Tunaida has reached about 42,000 Ethiopian refugees.
