Gibril receives WB executive director for African Group

Khartoum, June.1 (SUNA) – Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gibril Ibrahim received today at his office in Khartoum the Executive Director for African Group in World Bank Dr.Taufila Nyamadzabo. Following the meeting Gibril explained in a press statement, the important and the effective role that the World Bank could play at Paris club and with donors in writing off and relieve Sudan debts. The Minister affirmed that the meeting with the World Bank Executive Director for African Group was important and positive because the word Bank official is in charge of following up adequate information on Sudanese families support program. Dr. Nyamadzabo ,on his part, affirmed that the meeting with the Minister discussed the priorities and the necessary resources, the relation between the World Bank and private sector, the implementation of projects and capacity building. He added that Sudan becomes full member of international financial Network after it cleared its arrears, adding that he would review with the Ministry of Social Welfare on the progress on the family support program.
