Foreign Minister Receives Invitation from Pakistani Counterpart

Khartoum, May 10 (SUNA) – The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, ambassador Ilham Ibrahim, received in her office Monday the Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of Pakistan, Abdul-Wahid Abbase. The Pakistani Charge d’Affaires conveyed a written invitation from the Pakistani Foreign Minister to the Foreign Minister, Dr. Mariam Al-Saddiq Al-Mahdi, to visit the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Meanwhile, the two sides affirmed firmness of the historical relations between Sudan and Pakistan, and discussed ways to strengthen them further through the joint work mechanisms, including the cooperation in the fields of mining, defence, agriculture and investment, and the coordination between the two countries ’delegations on various issues within the framework of international organizations, in a manner that serves the supreme interests of the two countries.
