Khartoum, April 1 (SUNA)- Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok participated yesterday in a virtual meeting of US-Sudan Business Council on investment opportunities in Sudan. The meeting was convened in the presence of Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gebriel Ibrahim, Minister of Agriculture Dr. Al-Tahir Harbi, Sudanese businesspersons and directors of banks besides officials of the American Administration, the African Development Bank and representatives of a number of major American and international companies. The representatives of American companies, on their part, praised the achievements made by the government, foremost of which is removal of the name of Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, economic reforms and the change of the investment law, noting that these achievements would contribute strongly to creating a favorable environment for foreign investors to invest in Sudan. A number of representatives of American companies expressed their happiness with Sudan's openness to the outside world, affirming their desire to develop economic relations with Sudan. BT/BT
