Work program of Mechanism for protection of civilians approved

Khartoum, Feb.16 (SUNA) – The National Mechanism for Protection of the Civilians, on Tuesday, recommended the importance of working out detailed sectarian plans and formation of committees including the parties participating in the mechanism for its implementation. The mechanism in a meeting held, today, at the Cabinet Secretariat General, decided to move to north, central and south Darfur states to inspect the situation on the ground and meet the stakeholders as well as , the postponement of the mission’s visit to Darfur for a date to be fixed later on. The meeting stressed the necessity for completion of the formation of the commissions included in the Constitutional Document and Juba Peace Agreement to contribute to achieving the protection of civilians.
