Al Burhan returns home after participation in UNs Conference for Least Developed Countries

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan Abdel-Rahman, returned to the country after his participation in the work of the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries hosted by the State of Qatar. General Al- Burhan was received at Khartoum Airport by the member of the TSCl, Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Jaber, the Secretary-General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General MOhammEd al-Ghali Ali Youssef, and a number of ministers. The President of the TSC delivered the Sudan's address at the opening session of the 5th UN’s Conference on the Least Developed Countries in the World. The Sudan’s address to the conference included a review to the steps and policies adopted by Sudan during the transitional period to achieve the Uns’ sustainable development goals set for implementation in the year 2030. The address also presented the challenges and opportunities facing Sudan to achieve the development goals. On the sidelines of the international conference, the President of the TSC held bilateral meetings with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, President of the transitional period in the Republic of Chad, President Mohamed Idris Deby, and the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, which dealt with the course of bilateral relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation between Sudan and those countries.
