Justice Minister Receives Expert of Human Rights Situation in Sudan

The Acting Minister of Justice, Head of the National Human Rights Mechanism, Maulana Mohammed Saeed Al-Hilu, received Sunday morning in his office the expert on the human rights situation in Sudan, Radhouane Nouicer and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting the country.
The rapporteur of the National Human Rights Mechanism (NHRM) , Maulana Juma'a Al-Wakeel , noted that the first visit for the expert comes within the framework of Sudan's cooperation with the national human rights mechanisms, indicating that the Minister has expressed Sudan's readiness to cooperate with the expert and facilitate his mission. Al-Wakeel, stressed that their meeting with the visiting expert and his accompanied delegation reviewed the progress made in the human rights file, political aspects, accountability and non-impunity in addition to the efforts made for speeding up work of investigation committees recently formed by the Attorney General . He stated that the expert will meet the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Acting Minister of Interior, the Attorney General, he will also visit a number of civil society organizations and organizations affiliated with the United Nations in Sudan.
