Workshop on Combating Human Trafficking, Illegal Migration Launched

The African Center for Governance, Peace & Transition Studies (ACGPTS) and the Training Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a workshop Tuesday in Khartoum on combating human trafficking and illegal migration. The workshop targets enlightenment of diplomats on the issue in collaboration with Center for refugees Migration studies at University of AL-Mughtaribeen and the National Committee for Combating Human trafficking.
The Director of ACGPTS, Mahmoud Zain Al-Abdden, said in statement to SUNA that the workshop aims at providing the participants with information and knowledge on the new development related to illegal migration and human trafficking issues and the exchange of experiments and experiences among diplomats, national institutions, studies and research centers and the concern UN Agencies, in addition to briefing participants on the best practical performances and the successful experiments on migration governance in Africa and the world.
The lectures at the workshop presented by experts representing eleven institutions from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking, University of Al-Mughtaribeen, the International Organization for Migration and others.
