Egypt: Political Process in Sudan is Important and Positive Development

The Arab Republic of Egypt affirmed, in a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, that the launch of the second and final phase of the political process in Sudan is an important and positive development. Cairo expressed its confidence in the ability of the Sudanese parties to achieve a final and comprehensive political agreement that ends the transitional period and meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people.
The Arab Republic of Egypt has called on all regional and international parties to resume their development and economic assistance to Sudan to help the brotherly country to deal with the economic and development challenges it faces, a matter that would reflect positively on the standard of living of the Sudanese citizen, and contribute to achieving comprehensive political consensus in Sudan.
