MoU for Development of Nomads Sector in University of Sudan

Khartoum, July 4 (SUNA) The Sudan University for Science and Technology (SUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Development Board of Nomads. The chancellor of the university Prof. Rashed Ahmed Mohamed Hussein has signed for the university side while the council’s director, Ahmed Suleiman Balaha, has signed for the council’s party. The MoU come in the framework of enhancing cooperation between the academic public sector and the private sector for linking the industrial, commercial and investment sectors for the community service, besides the development of cooperation in academic, advisory and investment fields for mutual benefit. The two sides have agreed to cooperate in order to achieve the integration of academic, training and investment activities, and to exploit their available capabilities and resources to provide excellent services to the nomadic sector. The two parties also have agreed to enhancing cooperation to achieve maximum benefit from modern technologies and scientific expertise in raising the efficiency of technical cadres and capacity building of pastoral communities for development of the livestock sector and pastoral communities. The meeting also discussed the possibility of providing health services and medical care to nomadic communities through student campaigns, in addition to providing educational opportunities and enrollment in universities for the nomadic youth in all the Sudan’s regions, as well as benefiting from the renewable energies unit in the introduction of alternative energy services with economic return and scientific, health and environmental support. ta
