Al-Burhan Meets International Envoys for Sudan and S. Sudan

Khartoum, June.26 (SUNA) - The Chairman of the Sudan Transitional Council (TMC), Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, met Wednesday at the Republican Palace the the envoys of Britain, Norwayand SouthSudan State to Sudan. The meeting discussed the current political situation in Sudan and progress of the negotians between the TMC and the Forces of Declaration of Freedom and Change (FDFC).  The international envoys also met with the TMC Deputy Chairman, Lt. Gen. Mohammad Hamdan Daglo. The Norwegian Envoy, in a press statement, described the meetings as feank and fruitful, epressing the TROIKA support to the mediation efforts being exerted by the African Union and Ethiopia in Sudan. He expressed support to the AU position on the formation of a civilian transitional govern-ment, hopiing that the two sides will reach an agreement for the interest of Sudan. IF/MO
