Kassala and WFP Discuss Partnership

Kassala, June. 26 (SUNA) – The Wali (governor) of Kassala State, Gen. Mahmoud Babiker Hamad, and the Director of the World Food Program (WFP) at the state discussed implementation of the partnership between state and WFP and the implemented projects in a number of axes and areas at state. The Director of the WFP in Kassala reviewed the executive activity during past period through program as a main partnership with the state, such as the program of food for knowledge in some areas at the northern localities, providing services to the refugees at the camps in state and providing farmers with improved seeds. The Wali (governor) of the state affirmed the readiness to present studies on other programs and funding them, affirming the removal of obstacles that face WFP, especially the educational process and rural area stability. He praised the role of the program and the success that was achieved among targeted communities and educational stability at schools.. MH/MO
