The Turkish AFAD relief organization, an affiliate of Turkey Prime Ministry has announced arrival of a ship loaded with 10,000 tons of wheat flour extended by the Turkish people to the Sudanese people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr. The representative of AFAD, Murad Obar,who arrived in Khartoum, heading a high-level delegation, and held talks with the Commissioner of Refugees Hamad Al Gizouli, in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, said the ship would arrive at Port Sudan harbor Thursday for boosting further the strong relations between the peoples of the two countries. He indicated that his meeting with the Commissioner of Refugees dealt with exchange of information between AFAD and the commission on the issues of refugees. The Turkish Ambassador to Khartoum, Irfan Veziroglu, affirmed the strong ties linking the two countries, pointing to continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the various fields and exchange of visits between the officials of the two countries. He said there is agreement on exchange of information and expertise on all health, education and technology as well as on refugee issues. The Commissioner of Refugees explained that the talks with the Turkish Ambassador and the delegation of AFAD organization focused on exchange of information on refugee issues and affirmation of exchange of visits to see the experiences of each party in dealing with the issues of refugees.
