Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tahani Abdallah has stressed the important role of the electronic gate of Khartoum State in facilitating the lives of the citizens of the state and enhancing justice and transparency in extending services. Tahani expressed satisfaction during on site visits over the progress of work at the project of electronic government in Khartoum State, underscoring in a press statement the important role of electronic government in assisting the executive organ in the decision-making process and reduction of time and cost through availing government services through a single-window system. The minister pointed out that this would contribute to the success of the program of state reform that aims at shortening the administrative shadow and realizing transparency and welfare for the citizens in conformity with the program of the federal government, which had made wide strides in this connection. The Minister got acquainted during a visit to Khartoum State as part of following up of implementation of the project of electronic government on reports concerning the project as the government of Khartoum State has set up a database that can be updated. The reports were presented by Minister of Strategic Affairs of Khartoum State Prof. Mohamed Hussein Abu-Salih and a number of engineers in the presence of Governor of the State, Abdul-Rahim Mohamed Hussein.
