Sudan is expected to receive $ 600 million as external support
Al-Obied, Jan. 9 (SUNA) - The Minister of International Cooperation Idris Suleiman has expected Sudan to get $ 600 million as external support during 2018.
Speaking at the conclusion of the first meeting of the Directors of Development Planning and State-based Focal Points, which ended Tuesday at the Zenobia Hotel here, the minister stressed his ministry's readiness to allocate 50 million dollars to implement priority projects set by the states.
Suleiman said that North Kordofan provided a developmental model for the states through the state's Nafir Renaissance Projects, calling on the planning managers of the states to prepare a major matrix focusing on water, praising the hosting of the North Kordofan State to this forum, pledging provide the required assistances.
For his part, the Wali (governor) of North Kordofan State Ahmed Haroun said that his government would strive to mobilize all its potentials to implement the outcome and recommendations of the forum onto the ground. He pointed out that the forum aimed at the development of the international and national standards and indicators for the benefit of the people of Sudan.
The State Minister at the Council of Ministers Osman Wash stressed the importance of the forum, which is very reliable in the development of plans and programs that could contribute greatly to the implementation of development projects.
